Tilly's Lace Scarf made in Tasmania by Beverley!
It's just the best thing when people who have purchased our yarn bring in a finished article to share! Today, Beverley came in with a beautiful lace scarf she had knitted from Tilly's Lace 1/12s which she had purchased from The Lucky Ewe at last year's Tasmanian Craft Fair at Deloraine. It's on it's way to the Spindle Tree in Salamanca, Hobart. Thanks for sharing Beverley.

The Lucky Ewe @ Oatlands Handmade NOW OPEN for Spring 2013
Tilly, Shawn and Me (...well "I") are back on deck and the little shop has re-opened for the Spring 2013 here in wonderful up-town Oatlands. For September, just on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays 10 - 4, and we'll see how we go, but as ewe all know, I'm usually only a phone call away from an opening request. I've turned the Online Shop at www.theluckyewe.com.au back on and we have lots of great new woolly goodies on the shelves. .... and quietly, just so many 'thank ewes' go out to my family, friends and wonderful clients for their love and support over the last so difficult 6 months. xoxox
One of THE most exciting things has happened, and can I say just WOW!!! (and thanks for your confidence Bonny :)

IMPORTANT NEWS
Hello to all our followers and regular visitors! I am regretfully letting you know that our last trading day for the Summer Season at Oatlands Handmade's High Street Shop will be Tuesday 26th February 2013. We have a family health issue (not me) to be managed, and rather than open/shut/open/shut and muck about with trading hours, the decision has been regretfully made to close the physical shop early. (I usually close for winter at the end of May). The Online Shops will remain trading though and I will still blog - as soon as I can get internet out at the farm.
The Lucky Ewe will be out and about - Bothwell Spin-In next weekend will be the first, then we hope to be at the Jordan River Farm's "Big Woolly Day Out" at the School Farm, Main Road Brighton on Saturday 13th April. I have applied for some Market spots over the Autumn/Winter and of course, we hope to return to the Tasmanian Craft Fair at Deloraine for more fun, demos and woolly stuff.

so silky. Priced from just $4.20 a
pair! We've got them in size 10mm too
for those who knit chunky art yarns.

100 grams of wool...what can I make??
I get asked all the time for patterns using just 100g of yarn, and given that most of our hand-dyed art hanks are 100g, it is timely to put these up for you to try.
Check out our "Patterns & Ideas" Page on the website...there is a new recipie for Shawn's Tea Cosy, and Tilly has released her crochet cloche pattern : both made from under 100grams of yarn. More will come just as soon as we can get the test knits done!
Many more patterns in-store for sweaters/jumpers, cardis, accessories, Zauberball scarves and other scarves, beanies, socks and gloves!
